Our approach

For Woodtex NV, we joined forces with Media Architect to give the brand a face. Actually, two of them. Since Woodtex lives and breathes wood, we went straight to the source and started with tree trunks. Enter Arnout and Wout: two animated mascots with big personalities and unmistakable looks. Arnout is the friendly DIY hero: slightly taller, glasses on, bow tie included. Wout is the seasoned professional, ready for action with helmet, gloves and tool belt firmly in place.

Around these two, we built eight short animation videos that tackle everything from products and services to opening hours and general info. Clear, useful information, but told with humour and a wink. Thanks to their contrasting characters, Arnout and Wout make even the practical stuff fun, relatable and easy to digest for every kind of customer.

Our impact

Playful storytelling plus strong visual characters equals a brand message that sticks. Woodtex’s promise comes through loud and clear: a huge range, serious know-how and service for both DIYers and professionals. The 30-second videos deliver fast, snackable content that informs and entertains. Arnout and Wout didn’t just star in a few animations. They grew into full-on brand ambassadors, giving Woodtex a warm, recognisable and modern identity that feels just right.
